"Copenhagen-based down-tempo duo Steffen Aaskoven and Marc-George Andersen have been releasing lush, chill-out centred productions since the beginning of the decade, and in the wake of high-profile appearances on CSI, comes their fourth album, No One Built This Moment. In this case, the focus falls upon rich instrumental performances and the duo’s classically-influenced arrangements, with intimately-miced acoustic guitars recurring particularly as a motif. While there’s a constant presence of minimal electronics, for the most part, the production is relegated to the background, an earthy, organic approach that certainly suits guest vocalist Boy George’s return to his soulboy roots on first single, American Heart. Comparisons are likely to be evoked here with acts such as of Zero 7, and while much of No One... doesn’t exactly leave the most lasting impression upon first listening, it’s certainly gorgeously-crafted down-tempo that for the most part manages to dodge the usual chill-out clichés."
